Save Power Days is the Demand Response Program offered by South California Edison (SCE). By reducing electricity use on scheduled Save Power Days, you can earn up to $100 in bill credits.
Save Power Days are called about 12 times per year, only on non-holiday weekdays. Once you enroll and set your alert preferences (text, phone, or email alerts), SCE will notify you the day before a Save Power Day is called. To participate, you’ll need to reduce your electricity usage between 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. during Save Power Days.
You can earn bill credit of $0.75 per kWh if you use less than the average three highest use days during the five days prior to the event day. Earn $1.25 per kWh if your savings are enabled with SCE approved devices.
For example: If you use 5 kWh during a Save Power Day event, and your average usage for the 3 highest usage days for the previous 5 days was 10 kWh, you’ll earn $3.75 in bill credits for that day. Multiply that by 12 and you could earn up to $45 in savings for the year.
